A lending brokerage built out of a simple, recurring pattern: good businesses running into capital problems that a strategist can see coming but a spreadsheet alone can't fix.
The problem we kept running into
For years, I've worked directly with business owners on growth, turnaround, and M&A — through my advisory company. The strategy work was rarely the hard part. The hard part was capital: a business ready to grow, or in the middle of a transition, that couldn't get a straight answer from its bank, or didn't know hard money financing was even an option, or simply didn't know where to start.
I kept referring clients out for financing and watching the process take longer, and go worse, than it needed to. The Skylight Group exists to close that gap. We do the work of matching a business with the right lender out of a network of 250+ lending partners — traditional and hard money alike — so financing stops being the reason a good business stalls.
It's the same work I've always done: understanding a business well enough to know what it actually needs, and then going and getting it.
